Just an FYI for all of you who have been following my pink bathroom saga — I’ve posted a “penultimate” pink bathroom tour video over on Retro Renovation today. Enjoy!

  1. loved the video! where did you get the mirror/medicine cabinet? it’s awesome!! great job on the vanity/sink! wanted to do something similar in my grey/pink bathroom, but actually looked into buying an actual mcm-style dresser and converting it to a sink vanity. but it would look very similar. can’t believe you made all that. will you be painting it as well? or just leaving it natural?

  2. It looks amazing! You built that cabinet? Whaaaat!? 🙂 That. Is. Awesome. I think you also need a pink fluffy bathmat. I’ll be on the lookout 😛

  3. Okay, this bathroom is wonderful and amazing!! You did an awesome job (obviously!). Do you think you can eventually post a tutorial about how to make the vanity? It’s so perfect. And I hate to bombard you with questions/requests, haha, but where did you get the medicine cabinet? It’s also perfect! So many wonderful things. 🙂

    • Thanks Hope!

I’m working on a massive post that gives many of the details about how I made the vanity — which will appear over on Retro Renovation. Stay tuned!

As for the mirror, that was a vintage find at my local Habitat for Humanity ReStore. That style of mirror is still made new though, Pam wrote about it over on Retro Renovation: http://retrorenovation.com/2009/03/04/where-can-i-buy-a-vintage-style-medicine-cabinet/

My vintage mirror was $25 at the ReStore, and I priced out a new one of the same size at $275. Quite a better deal to go vintage!

      • Oh thank you! Sobbing forever that you found it at the ReStore, but I’m going to keep my eye out. 🙂 I can’t wait to read about the vanity! We have a recessed area in our (1954) bathroom that has a vanity of sorts but it’s nowhere near original. We were trying to figure out what on earth to do in that area and then you swooped in! Haha. So thanks!
