DRYWALL SPACKLING AND SANDING — AM I DONE YET?

spackle-1

I didn’t work on the bathroom at all the whole time my family was visiting for Christmas in July. Instead I spent time with them and worked outside in the yard, planting, landscaping and weeding with Mom, who loves to garden.

Once the last family member pulled out of the driveway however — it was back to the bathroom again. I’m taping/mudding/sanding the drywall joints and taping/mortaring the cement board joints. This is my least favorite part of any remodeling project…ugg.

I’ve made some serious progress on the walls, but I still have a ways to go. This part of the project always seems to take forever, probably because I dislike sanding (or doing any sort of work) on the ceiling — plus it has been quite humid, which makes for slow drying.

All I really want to do is start installing pretty pink tiles! Fingers crossed that I can start that part soon…

    • Thanks Mid Century Mom — I’ve been sanding/puttying a little every night this week. I am SO READY TO BE DONE WITH THIS STEP! Ugg. Jim keeps reminding me that I am making progress…always getting closer to the pink tiles!
