HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM THE RETRO RANCH

1958-Christmas-Card

A while back, Mom gave me this awesome retro holiday photo card from 1958, complete with a photo of her and my Uncle on the inside…

…and the message is exactly what I’d like to wish all of you…

Much to Leo’s dismay, the santa hat came out one more time — for our 2012 Christmas card photo.

Jim and I had a heck of a time trying to keep it on Leo’s head and try to get him to look forward at the camera.

Leo asked that we also show you this photo — where he has a more dignified appearance — without the hat.

From our retro ranch to yours, we wish you a joyful holiday season. Thanks to each and every one of you for reading the blog, and giving us praise, feedback and advice the whole year through. We look forward to everything that 2013 has in store for us — and we hope you’ll come along for the ride.

Happy Holidays!

  1. Merry Christmas to you all (ya’ll)l at the retro ranch. 🙂 Loved the post and seeing the old Christmas card with Nana’s handwriting and me and my bro when we were little and cute. 🙂 … and the hairpin table that has found its way back to WI.

  2. I hope you had a great Christmas and that your New Year is filled with peace, love and prosperity. Thanks for all the work you’ve done, not only on your blog, but on RR as well.

I think it’s funny that Leo’s looking straight into the camera without the hat but looking away whenever he is wearing it, as if to say he truly does find it undignified, ha ha.

    • Aww…we did have a wonderful holiday, thanks!

Leo does not like wearing things on his head. He will tolerate it for a short time for treats, but yes, he finds it very undignified. 😉 Still, he’s a good sport.
