Who told this turkey to show up on Wednesday? Thanksgiving is tomorrow…
I happened to look out my window this afternoon to see what Jim and I refer to as “the lone turkey” strutting his stuff in my neighbor’s driveway. This guy is pretty tame for a wild turkey — or maybe just brave. Several times Jim and I have been out walking Leo when this guy gives us quite a surprise by crossing the road in front of us or just hanging out less than 4 feet away as we pass by. Maybe he feels safe in our neighborhood — it is a very nice area.
This year I have so much to be thankful for. I won’t go into detail with a long list — but I will say that I’m extremely happy with how my life is right now — and that really is something to be thankful about. I’m also thankful for having such kind and helpful people (you guys!) who read my blog, chime in with positive comments, send me emails sharing their own stories and photos and make me feel like an important part of an awesome mid century online community. You guys rock!
I hope that all of you have much to be thankful for this year as well.
From our ranch to yours — Happy Thanksgiving!
