I’ve got some big news…I’m now a regular contributor to the #1 retro blog out there, Retro Renovation.
Basically my wildest dream has come true. The one and only queen of all things retro, Pam from Retro Renovation, asked me if I would like to contribute posts to her blog.
Read my intro on Retro Renovation here.
I still have to pinch myself to make sure all this is really happening!
(Below is a dramatic reenactment of my phone call with Pam)
I totally geeked out.
Once I hung up the phone, I skipped around the house squealing with happiness. Then I did the next logical thing, I called my Mom.
Since I still have my full time day job as a graphic designer, I’ll only be posting on Retro Renovation twice weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I’ll also be keeping up the two posts a week on this blog. It is a lot of work, but there’s nothing that excites me more than having the opportunity to share my ideas, thoughts and projects with all of you.
I’m really excited to see where this new partnership with Pam can take both of our blogs. I’ve already learned so much from her!
Also for those of you who are wondering about my Master Bath redo plans, they are still in the works and will be featured in a series on Retro Renovation!
For everyone who is new to my blog, welcome! Please feel free to look around. Get the scoop on my little family on the Meet the Residents of the Ranch tab.Β I’m also working on a page that will have the progress I’ve made on my Retro Ranch Revamp to date…coming soon!
There’s lots of exciting stuff coming up folks! Stay tuned!
Congrats, Kate! That’s amazing!

Awww thanks Mom! Thanks for teaching me that with a little hard work and determination, I can do anything I put my mind to! And for your constant support on everything I do. π And for helping me pick out the dress…hehehehehee.
That’s what happens when you love what you do and do it well. Good things happen! Congrats! And I want that pink handset that plugs into your sell phone. What is it and where can I get one? π
Aww thanks Jeanne!
The pink handset was a Christmas present from my adorable husband Jim! It is a Native Union Pop Phone handset…you can find it in an array of colors all over the internet. Jim got mine from Amazon. I love it!

I’M happy for you, I hope to enjoy reading your new blog post as much as I have Pam’s.I hope to see a bunch of “new ” retro stuff form you.
Aww thanks oldgun31! π
What a happy adventure! A couple of questions: Will Leo make an appearance there as well or will he have to stay home? and – Where is that chair from/ who is the maker?
I may have to look for that handset as well – it is very cool.
Thanks fabricgirl66!
I’ll have to ask Pam if Leo could make the occasional appearance on RR or not…I know he would love to get his two cents over there in every once in a while. I did promise to look for a label on the chair! I will put that on my list of things to do today and get back to you!
I love my handset. It is particularly great for long phone conversations, much more comfortable and retro cool!
OK! For all those inquiring minds…my retro green chairs (I have two, one has a higher back, one has a lower back) are made by Steinhafels fine furniture, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Steinhafels is still in business, though sadly their furniture isn’t as cool as it used to be. The chairs were given to me by friends of my parents who originally bought them in the late 60s (I think).
Awesome. i love your reverse technology phone
Thanks Vanessa! Reverse technology, I love it! π
I think Leo NEEDS to be in! His opinions COUNT! π Congrats!
Thanks June!
Leo is very opinionated, isn’t he…. π
So exciting! Congrats! π
Thanks Nicole!:)
Congrats! How exciting. Looking forward to following you (and Leo) on both blogs.
Thanks Natalie!
