A CONFESSION…
I have a confession to make.
For the last week and a half – since I quit my full time job and started working part time freelance — I’ve been doing my freelance work and not a whole lot else except for some much needed light vacuuming and playing with the dog (which Leo loves!). I think what happened is that working 60 or so hours a week between the full time and part time stuff, plus coming up with twice weekly content for my own blog kinda wore me out. So I’ve been taking it easy and trying to relax a bit instead of throwing myself immediately into another project.
Here’s where you guys come in…
I’m gonna get myself back into the blogging groove over the weekend…but it would be helpful to know what types of posts you enjoy reading most:
- projects and plans from around my ranch?

I think Leo ROCKS! And I’d like to see more of your photography work, including what retro decorating you’ve been doing. Have to admit, I’m living vicariously through you (and Pam K), as I very much miss the ’63 ranch in which I lived up until from high school.

Well, I like updates on your house so more pictures is good. But everything is pretty good including Leo. Doesn’t he need a pet kitty? I like your taste in colors and I have colors on the mind lately. Anywho, it is August, I am a little behind myself. It is an August thing, no worries.

Leo does have two kitty brothers! Milton and Phil (check the about page!) They don’t really hang out all together well, probably since then run when they see him, which makes Leo’s herding instinct kick in and makes for scary results. I’ll have to post about Milton and Phil one of these days…
I do have a bit of a kitty penchant so count me in on cat posts.
Milton and Phil aren’t too interested in having their pictures taken, but I’ll try to get one in soon!
I’d lie to hear more about your plans and projects around the house – before and agrees are my favorite.
And I am a sucker for Leo. So I would definitely enjoy hearing what he thinks and is doing.

I love the projects outside or inside and I like that Leo is always supervising everything with an eye to his own must haves

I’m curious to know more about your mom’s house given all the the cool things she passes on and I loved reading about your old kitchen that little house look super cute!

My parents live in a pretty new house, and their decorating is very different than mine, which is why I think my Mom gives me all her cool retro stuff — since it seems to fit better in my place. However, Mom has tons of photos of houses she used to live in all over the country (they moved a lot growing up since my grandfather was in the Marine Corp.) so I could feature more photos of the stuff she is giving me in its original retro surroundings…
I’ll also have to find some photos of my first house for a fun post.

Hmmm… about the only thing I’m less interested in is probably yard projects – but that’s only because I don’t have a yard myself. Also I realize it probably goes with the season – it’s summer and everyone is focused on their yard, so I’ll just suck it up.
Plus I love outdoor posts that focus on holiday decorating, so I’ll bide my time. 
That is understandable Jilly, but you are right — yard and garden posts will be coming to an end when the weather turns and then I’ll be decorating for the holidays, which is always fun!

I recently was reminded of a truism: Give people what you would like to receive yourself. I suspect if you share things that interest or intrigue you that all of us following your site will also be interested. Please keep up the good work. Oh, and give Leo an war scratch from me.

Well as far as I’m concerned, one cannot be too rich, too thin, or get enough Leo.
